  • Prescribed by veterinarians as a nutritional management aid in the management of pruritic dermatitis, chronic gastroenteritis or colitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), chronic otitis externa, flea allergy dermatitis and contact dermatitis
  • Contains venison as a single intact animal protein source – this limits the digestible novel meat protein and carbohydrate ingredients in the diet to help avoid common food allergies
  • Can be used as an elimination diet
  • Includes potato as a carbohydrate source – allergy to potato is uncommon and it is highly digestible
  • Added antioxidants to help maintain a healthy immune system and the skin barrier function

Indications – may be prescribed to nutritionally manage:

  • Adverse food reactions (AFR) & elimination diet
  • Atopic dermatitis (environmental allergy)
  • Flea allergy dermatitis (FAD)
  • Otitis externa (chronic)
  • Pruritic dermatitis
  • Supports skin health in cases of secondary infections, and other dermatoses
  • Protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) without lymphangiectasia 
  • Forms of chronic enteropathy (inflammatory bowel disease):

            - Food responsive

            - Antibiotic responsive

            - Steroid responsive 

Contraindications:

  • Growing puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Pancreatitis
  • History of pancreatitis
  • At risk of pancreatitis

  • It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use and during the period of use. 
  • Individual requirements will vary depending on pre-existing nutritional status and medical condition.
  • Consult with the treating veterinarian to establish a feeding guide for the individual patient

  • If feeding this food for the first time,  mix increasing amounts of your pet's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food for 7 days or more
