- Complete and balanced food that provides all the needed nutrition
- Reduced levels of protein, magnesium and phosphorus to help limit the building blocks of crystals and bladder stones
- Low sodium to maintain normal blood pressure
- Controlled calcium and added potassium citrate
- Added antioxidants to control cell oxidation and promote a healthy immune system
- Targets urinary pH that discourages the formation and aggregation of struvite crystals
- Omega 3 fatty acids are also included to support urinary health
Indications – may be prescribed to nutritionally manage:
- Calcium oxalate urolithiasis, reduce recurrence
- Calcium phosphate urolithiasis, reduce recurrence
- Struvite urolithiasis, reduce recurrence
- Struvite dissolution
Contraindications:
- Cats
- Puppies
- Pregnant or lactating bitches
- Dogs receiving urinary acidifiers
- Non-struvite urolithiasis
- Hyperlipidaemia
- Dogs with a history of, or at risk of, pancreatitis
