Benefits
- A palatable alternative to paste and liquid wormers
- Presented as cereal-based pellets that look and smell like pony cubes
- Small dose size and readily accepted by most horses
- Great to use in horses that are difficult to worm – you simply add the pellets to their feed bucket
- The pack will treat a horse up to 700 kg
- Safe to use on all adult horses including pregnant mares and breeding stallions
Note
- Not suitable for foals due to risk of incorrect dosing and adverse outcomes
- It is not recommended to use ERAQUELL all year for worming your horse
- ERAQUELL does not treat or control tapeworm so for effective control of tapeworms there still will be a need to give a non-mectin wormer like 'STRATEGY-T' in Spring
- Use of faecal egg testing will help determine worming requirements for the rest of the year
APVMA: 53142/35G
Dosage
- Dose at 5g per 100kg bodyweight. Or 200ug per 1kg of bodyweight
- Each 35g sachet treats a 700kg horse
- Give half a sachet to ponies weighing 300-350kg
- Treat every 6-8 weeks depending on the level of pasture manure contamination or as directed by your veterinarian
Directions For Use
- Calculate the correct dosage for the horse's body weight
- Tear open the sachet and pour the required amount into a medium-size container or feed bucket and offer to the horse
- Ensure consumption of the entire dose by removing the horse's bridle before treatment and preventing spillage or dropping of pellets during feeding
- If the horse does not eat all the pellets from the bucket, add a small amount of pre-mixed feed or grain (up to 1 handful) to the remaining pellets and mix together and offer to the horse again, until the entire dose is consumed
- Failure to consume the entire dose of pellets may result in decreased efficacy
Note
- Not suitable for foals - ERAQUELL is more difficult to dose to the correct body-weight than paste wormers, therefore, the risk of overdosing in foals is high
- It is not recommended to use ERAQUELL all year for worming your horse
- ERAQUELL does not treat or control tapeworm, so for effective control of tapeworms there will still be a need to give a non-mectin wormer like STRATEGY-T in Spring
- Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption
