Equimax Elevation Oral Horse Worming Paste Is A Broad Spectrum Wormer That Effectively Controls Common Equine Parasites

Composition - each 23.1ml syringe contains: 

  • Pyrantel Embonate 9.0g
  • Praziquantel 1.0g
  • Ivermectin 0.14g

Indications

  • A broad spectrum, triple active combination wormer that provides double action against nematodes and tapeworms and delays the onset of resistance to the anthelmintics
  • Controls all equine worms, bots, lungworms, intestinal threadworms, roundworms, tapeworms, and skin parasites (summer sores and neck threadworms)

Controls:

  • Tapeworms: Anoplocephala perfoliata, Anoplocephala magna, Paranoplocephala mammillana (adult and immature, heads and segments)
  • Large strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris (adults and arterial larval stages), Strongylus edentatus (adults and tissue stages), Strongylus equinus (adults) and Triodontophorus spp. (adults)
  • Small strongyles (Cyathstomins): Including benzimidazole resistant strains (adult and immature) Cyathostomm spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Cylicodontophorus spp., Gyalocephalus spp.
  • Pinworms: Oxyuris equi (adult and immature)
  • Ascarids: Parascaris equorum (adult and immature) including adult stages of ivermectin, moxidectin and abamectin resistant strains of Parascaris equorum

Dosage

  • Dose orally at 3.3mL per 100kg bodyweight 
  • Each syringe of EQUIMAX ELEVATION treats a horse up to 700kg

Directions For Use

  • Each marking on the syringe plunger will deliver 3.3mL of paste
  • Insert the syringe into the side of your horse's mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth 
  • Advance the plunger as far as it will go, press the plunger to the chosen dosage depositing the medication on the rear of the tongue
  • Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing to ensure the full dose has been swallowed 

Suggested Parasite Control Programme

  • All horses should be included in a regular parasite control programme with particular attention to mares, foals, and yearlings
  • Foals should be treated initially at 6-8 weeks of age, and routine treatment repeated as appropriate
  • Because reinfection is common, treatment must be repeated routinely for effective control 

Precautions

  • This product is most effective against adult stages of ivermectin, moxidectin, and abamectin resistant strains of Parascaris equorum
  • Egg shedding may recommence 2-4 weeks after treatment
  • Faecal egg counts should be monitored 2-4 weeks after treatment and if worm eggs are found these horses should be re-treated with another product with approved label claims for the control of ML resistant strains of Parascaris equorum and which does not contain ivermectin, moxidectin, or abamectin - such as Strategy-T Oral Broad Spectrum Worm Paste For Horses
