Donation To Devoted to Dachshunds
Jack Russell Rescue was established, to save and re-home abandoned Jack Russell Terriers and JRT cross-breeds that find themselves on death row in pounds throughout Australia.
We are a non-profit, community-based organisation controlled and operated by volunteers. ALL of your donations go directly to the care and welfare of our rescue dogs.
On average, we will have 35-40 dogs in care, and re-home more than 200 dogs per year. The number of dogs re-homed is increasing every year, and this year we are expecting to get closer to 250 dogs into our Rescue.
The dogs that we offer for adoption may not all be pure JRTs, but at JR Rescue, we believe they are worthy of saving.
Each dog is de-sexed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, wormed, temperament assessed, and vet-checked prior to re-homing.
We also provide follow up advice for the new families of our rescue dogs - It is our aim to ensure that each of these dogs finds the best possible forever home.
Jack Russell Rescue relies entirely on donations and volunteers to continue its operations and we do NOT receive any government funding. Jack Russell Rescue has Charitable Fund tax status, which means all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
