Ant Proof Plate Replacement Repellent Powder For Dogs And Cats

Ant Proof Plate Replacement Repellent For Dogs And Cats Is Great For Renewing The Effectiveness Of Your Ant Proof Plate

Designed to be used as a repellent replacement with the Ant Proof Plates

  • The repellent is made from fossilised algae, known as diatomaceous earth (diatom)
  • Diatom is presented in a powder-like form, extracted from the environment and is safe for humans and pets, but deadly for insects
  • Diatom feels uncomfortable to insects, slugs, and snails; therefore, preventing them from going anywhere near it!
  • When an insect touches diatom, the silica removes the waxy outer coating from the insect’s exoskeleton, meaning the insect cannot absorb water and will die of dehydration
  • The repellent is designed to be positioned underneath the top plate of your Ant Proof Plate with suspension glue pads to keep it in place and protect it from dust and condensation
  • If an ant does try to cross over the repellent underneath the top plate, gravity will cause the ant to lose its footing – therefore, crossing the barrier to your pet’s bowl will be unfeasible!
  • Placing the repellent underneath the top plate also keeps it out of sight and stops inquisitive pets from getting covered in loose powder
  • One application of diatomaceous earth can last up to 2 years!
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Nontoxic and completely safe (except for pet snails)
  • 100% Australian made and owned
  • The ant repellent replacement is presented in paper envelopes
  • Ant Proof Plates are available for separate purchase

Applying the Repellent to your Ant Proof Plate

  • Turn your Ant Proof Plate upside down and unscrew the 4 screws holding the top and bottom plate together
  • On the underside of the top plate are 4 round glue pads – sprinkle approx. 2 teaspoons of ant repellent to each of the 4 discs
  • Using your finger, rub the ant repellent around each of the discs, leaving a coat approx. 2mm thick
  • As the ant repellent is harmless, you may choose to not wear gloves, however, if you have sensitive or delicate skin, it is recommended to wear surgical latex gloves
  • Give the plate a light tap removing any excess ant repellent and screw the plates back together, ensuring you don’t strip the threads of the screws

 Note

  • Unless you leave your Ant Proof Plate in the rain or it gets washed, you will not need to replace the repellent
  • Diatoms are completely safe and are even found in many grain-based foods
  • Ants cannot build up a tolerance to the repellent
