For the treatment and prevention of fleas and control of ticks on dogs
A monthly or fortnightly external skin spot on treatment for:

- Kills fleas in your dog’s surroundings and your home
- New infestations of fleas for up to 4 weeks after application
- Flea allergy dermatitis – reduces the incidence

Control of: repels and kills
- Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus)
- Brown Dog Tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)
- Bush Tick (Haemaphysalis longicornis)

For fleas:
- Advantix starts working within minutes after application
- Stops fleas feeding in 3- 5 minutes after application
- Has been shown to kill adult fleas within 20 minutes after application
- Regular use of the product will break the flea life cycle as it kills immature stages of fleas in the environment
For ticks:
- Repels ticks
- Attached ticks are killed but remain attached and visible
Water fastness
- The pet’s coat must be dry before applying Advantix
- Your pet should not be allowed to swim or be shampooed until the Advantix has dried after application to the coat
- If bathing the dog, use a soap free shampoo 14 days after treatment is applied
- Bathing and swimming are not expected to reduce the effectiveness of the Advantix
- Use a soap free shampoo or cleansing product if washing pet while using Advantix
Suitable for use on:
- Dogs and puppies from 7 weeks of age
- For puppies younger than 7 weeks of age, use an appropriate Advantage for Dogs
- Safe to use on pregnant and lactating bitches
- TOXIC TO CATS
Contraindications
- TOXIC TO CATS - Reports of toxic effects in cats which groom or contact dogs treated with Advantix
- Consult your vet before using on sick or debilitated dogs
Notes
- Daily searching for and removal of ticks is recommended as risk of tick paralysis is not entirely eliminated
- For effective flea control all dogs and cats that share the common environment should be treated with an appropriate product
- For year round effective flea control, continue to apply the product on a monthly basis throughout the year.
- For effective flea control, this product should not be applied or dosed in a manner other than that directed by the manufacturer.

Dosage Guide
Dogs
- Apply the entire contents of the appropriate applicator as directed
Very large dogs over 50 kg
- Apply the entire contents of 2 applicators as directed for the dog’s body weight – using one tube between shoulder blades and one tube on midline of back between the hips
Application
- Easy to use
- Apply every 2 weeks for paralysis tick control – for best results Advantix should be applied one month prior to first expected exposure to paralysis ticks
- Apply monthly for control of other ticks and/or fleas
