General Instructions
Administration Schedule
The treatment schedule may begin at any time of the year, and can continue monthly without interruption for year round effective parasite control
It should be administered at monthly intervals, preferably on the same date each month
If a dose is missed, and the interval between the previous and missed dose, is less than 14 days, the monthly dosing schedule can be immediately resumed
If a dose is missed, and the interval between the previous and missed dose, is more than 6 weeks, consult your veterinarian for advice, prior to resuming the monthly dosing schedule
Heartworm
As with other monthly heartworm preventatives, dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to commencing treatment - use of this product, with dogs that currently have heartworm, is not recommended
When replacing another monthly heartworm preventative product, the first dose must be given within one month of the last dose of the previous monthly medication
Fleas
As with other monthly flea preventatives, for effective flea control and to minimise the likelihood of flea reinfestation, it is important to treat all pets in the household, at the same time, with an approved parasite protection product
Where the environmental infestation of fleas is heavy and chronic, the concurrent use of a registered environmental control product, on areas such as pet bedding and carpets, may help to bring long term resolution of the flea infestation more rapidly
Intestinal Worms
As with other monthly intestinal worm preventatives, for effective control and to minimise the likelihood of reinfection, it is important to treat all pets in the household, at the same time, with an approved parasite protection product
Vomiting After Administration
In some animals, there may be transient vomiting, within 48 hours of administration of the first dose
Puppies less than 14 weeks of age may experience an increased rate of vomiting
The incidence of vomiting decreases with each repeat monthly dose
If vomiting occurs within an hour of administration, re-dose with another full dose
Precautions
Should not be administered to puppies less than 8 weeks of age
Contains pork based protein – this may not suit pets allergic to pork
Safe use in male dogs used for breeding has not been evaluated
