Royal Canin Dermatology

Some dermatitis or skin conditions can be the result of a pet actually having an intolerance or sensitivity to the ingredients in food - especially the meat or protein sources included in their diets.

Royal Canin have designed a range of diets that provide nutritional management and support for cats and dogs that have skin problems, or dermatological disease, related to diet.

These diets are made using either specifically selected or modified proteins.

The controlled protein ingredients in the foods reduce the likelihood of an allergic or hypersensitive reaction, and the pet developing symptoms of skin disease

Pets that have skin problems as a result of food allergy may display a range of symptoms including:

• itching
• scratching
• hair loss
• unpleasant skin odour
• dry, red, flaky, pimply or greasy skin

It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before and during the use of a skin or dermatology diet, in order to determine the needs of your pet.
