Preventative Skin Maintenance with Shampoo & Conditioner

Maintaining your pet's healthy skin and coat, is an important part of preventing skin problems, especially for pets that have sensitive skin.

Bathing and grooming your pet assists in keeping their skin and coat clean and healthy.

Bathing your pet

  • helps to remove allergens and irritants from the skin and coat
  • can assist with healing and soothing sensitive or irritated skin
  • can help to maintain and balance the natural oils present on the skin
  • helps to manage greasy coats and doggy odours
  • assists in lifting shed hair and dead skin cells from the coat
  • removes dirt and debris from the skin and coat
  • in insecticidal shampoos will help to control external parasites

How often to bath a pet will vary with the pet's:

  • age
  • lifestyle
  • daily activities
  • type of coat
  • skin and coat condition

Pets that are bathed in products not designed for pet's can develop skin and/or coat problems. Only bath your pet in products specifically formulated for safe use on pets - their skin and coat are different to ours - human bathing products, including baby products, are not suitable for use on pets.

Pet shampoos have been designed for regular pet bathing, without causing drying and irritation to the skin and coat. Pet skin and coat conditioners are applied after bathing to retain and balance skin moisture levels.
