What Is It Used For?

Advocate for dogs treats heartworm, roundworm, hookworm and whipworm but NOT tapeworm. In addition, it treats fleas by killing the adults and larvae in the environement as well as Demodex, Sarcoptic mange, ear mites and lice.

Advocate prevents Heartworm disease by killing the tissue stages of heartworm.

Once the heartworm moves from the tissues to the blood stream, it may cause a reaction from the worms dying which may then cause a blood vessel blockage. Hence the need to Heartworm test dogs which have not been on regular prevention or have missed prevention for more than 60 days.
